I saw Jenifer,Pelts and the dead soldiers w/ the Ann Coulter parody; the only H.P. Lovecraft story I know is the movie "The Reanimater"(Sorry if I spelled it wrong). I want to make a movie about the Urban Legend "Robert the Doll' by having music n the style of Fabio Frizzi's Irrealta Di Suoni From "City of The Living Dead", show clips from movies like 'Grinch Night" & "Pinocchio" and be bloody but Psychosocial. Also an scene based on "the Licked hand"; heard the mothman prophecies couldn't make as good as the myth.

Hopefully next time I'll think of more topics to talk about.

the problems u'd counted for American horror movies are the good ones, but i might add that the lack of insight in those films being one of their problems...Argento, in his best movies always have insight on various objects in them.(e.g: dreams and reality, subconsciousness, sanity...etc)

The House of 100 Corpses are pretty creepy, but i like this one! HAHAHAHAA!!!

but i'm getting some Masters of Horror recently and enjoying a few of them, eg: Dream in the Witch House, Jennifer. And i recently recalled a film In the Mouth of Madness which i watched once in childhood, and it was loosely based on H P. Lovecraft stories that made me wanna rewatch it again.^___^

Cool that you found that review i n that magazine. I"m ashamed that my country's (America) horror movies sucking every year for these reasons
1.Unnecessarily remakes (some produced by the evil & no-talented Michael Bay)
2.Boring Black & Grey colors
3.no atmosphere
4.Gore but no creativity
5.Mediocre music
6.also remaking Japanese movies with ghost women (it's getting old real fast)
7. PG-13 rated horror movies
I think it's the fault of the studios & the brainless tweenagers and teenagers. For me the scariest moment at least in a children's move is the Pleasure Island in Disney's Pinocchio; the way Lampwick reacts to himself becoming a donkey still disturbs me.
